Industry Trends & Their Data Impacts
The music business is evolving by the day, and with that evolution comes changes in the way data must be handled. This panel will highlight and discuss the data impacts on developing trends in the industry. These include the growth of enhanced metadata to power voice search and connect music with related assets, the confluence of recording and publishing as many labels take on publishing duties and publishers launch label services, the ongoing volume of catalog transfers as acquisitions continue at a strong pace, and finally, the ongoing impact of the latest technologies on the industry and data needs. This panel brings together experts who are witnessing these trends firsthand, are involved with businesses that are experiencing these impacts, and are helping to plot the best course forward.

This panel is part of Today’s Rage, Tomorrow’s Challenges: Industry Trends & Their Impacts, programmed by MusicWatch, OpenPlay & Rock Paper Scissors
